Indiana Co. man charged with shooting at woman at Taco Bell, indicted on federal gun charge
An Indiana County man was indicted by a federal grand jury on Tuesday — months after police said he shot at a woman who had a protection from abuse order against him.
Todd Matthew Jaksoh, 33, of Indiana, was indicted on one count of illegally possessing a weapon while subject to a domestic violence PFA order.
Jakosh went to Taco Bell on Oakland Avenue in Indiana at 10:26 a.m. on Aug. 7 and fired multiple shots at a woman who worked there, according to police. She was not hit.
The victim had previously taken out a PFA against Jakosh.
He was arrested a short time later and charged with aggravated assault; aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; carrying a firearm without a license and related charges.
Jakosh is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on those charge on March 22.
He is being held in the Indiana County jail on a $250,000 bond.
“Domestic violence is inexcusable,” said Indiana County District Attorney Robert F. Manzi Jr. in a new release “In partnership with local, state and federal authorities, we will continue to stand up for the victims of domestic abuse with every tool available.”
Acting U.S. Attorney Stephen R. Kaufman said in the release that federal law prohibits anyone under a PFA order from possessing a weapon and that his office will continue to aggressively enforce it.
