A man linked to the unsolved homicide of an Aliquippa teacher was found unconscious along a road early Sunday, hours after a “48 Hours” episode on the 2018 killing aired on television.

Sheldon Jeter Jr. was found unconscious about 4 a.m. near the intersection of Sheffield Avenue and Orchard Street, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV.

Jeter, 21, has been the subject of police questioning and search warrants in connection with the killing of Rachael DelTondo, who was gunned down in her family’s driveway on Mother’s Day 2018.

Police have not publicly named a suspect in the shooting of 33-year-old DelTondo.

The TV station reported that first responders gave Jeter a dose of the overdose-reversal drug Narcan, but it was not clear if he was suffering from an overdose.

Acting Aliquippa Police Chief Robert Sealock could not immediately be reached for comment.

DelTondo had been with Sheldon Jeter’s brother, Tyrie Jeter, and friend Lauren Watkins in the hours before police received a report of a shooting at 10:48 p.m. Watkins had dropped DelTondo off at her parents’ Buchanan Street home about four minutes earlier.
