MedExpress offers covid-19 testing at select offices across Pittsburgh region
Select MedExpress urgent care offices across the Pittsburgh region are offering covid-19 testing.
Included are locations in Jeannette, Monroeville (Mosside Boulevard), Mt. Lebanon and Robinson (Steubenville Pike.)
Each of those locations offers drive-up service, allowing people to be screened and tested for covid-19 without leaving their vehicles. Other locations may require those being tested to enter the building to complete the procedure.
Other MedExpress offices in the region that are providing testing include sites in Wexford, Indiana, Uniontown and Washington.
Testing is available only to those who meet criteria set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which includes symptoms such as shortness of breath, a fever, cough, sore throat, earache, runny nose or sneezing; having had recent close contact with someone with a confirmed covid-19 infection; and having a suppressed immune system or a chronic medical condition such as diabetes or heart, lung or kidney disease.
Those who meet any of the screening criteria and want to be tested should, before leaving home, call a participating MedExpress office for further guidance.
