Monday is the final day to register to vote in Pennsylvania’s May 17 primary.

Those who wish to vote in the election and are not previously registered must complete a registration application by Monday.

Applications may be completed online through a site maintained by the Pennsylvania Department of State or may be delivered by Monday to the county voter registration office for the location where the applicant resides.

Officials recommend having one’s Pennsylvania driver’s license or equivalent ID on hand to refer to while completing the application.

To register, the applicant must be 18 years old as of the day of the election. For at least 30 days before the election, the applicant also must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of Pennsylvania and of a given local election district.

The registration application can be completed online or downloaded by visiting www.pavoterservices.pa.gov and selecting “Voter Registration – NEW!” under the “Voter Services” heading.

The online form also may be used by previously registered voters who have changed their name or moved to a new address.

Those with questions about registering to vote may email ST-VoterReg@pa.gov or call 1-877-868-3772.
