Police investigating after stolen car crashes into Brookline vape shop
Pittsburgh police are investigating after a vehicle smashed through the doors of a Brookline vape shop as part of a robbery early Tuesday morning.
Police were dispatched at around 2:25 a.m. to the 900 block of Brookline Boulevard for reports of a burglary alarm at a smoke shop.
Officers found a vehicle had repeatedly driven into the front doors. Footage from the business’s cameras show two men, dressed in black, got out of the vehicle and stole cash from the register. They also stole merchandise before fleeing the scene, police said.
The vehicle used in the incident was reported stolen out of Dormont, according to public safety officials.
Washington man fatally struck by vehicle in Mercer County
A 92-year-old Washington man was hit by a vehicle and killed in Mercer County.
The incident happened around 7:15 p.m. Sunday on Perry Highway in Fairview Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Edward Wiszczor, 92, was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said in a news release Tuesday.
According to state police, a vehicle traveling south fatally struck Wiszczor after he had “ran out on the roadway” from the west side of the road.
