Shooting sends one to hospital
Pittsburgh police are investigating after a man riding an e-bike in the city’s Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar section was shot late Thursday.
Emergency crews were called just before 9 p.m. to the 1300 block of Grotto Street where they found an adult man with a gunshot wound to the knee, authorities said.
The e-bike had caught fire but firefighters were able to contain the flames.
The victim was not clear on information about what led up to the incident, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.
Pittsburgh EMS took the victim to the hospital in stable condition.
The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process the scene.

Shooting in Swissvale injures one
One person was injured after a shooting near the East Busway in Swissvale early Friday.
Crews responded at about 12:35 p.m. to find a man shot in the torso, according to TribLive news partner WTAE.
The suspect fled the scene.
The victim went to a nearby bus and asked the driver for help.
“Nobody was on the bus at the time except the bus operator. They were on layover at the restroom over here. The bus operator called our bus traffic operations, and they, in turn, called us, and then we responded. An ambulance responded,” Port Authority Police Deputy Chief Shawn Hudzinski said.
The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police are investigating.

Six injured in I-79 crash
Six people were taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on I-79 in Washington County on Friday.
The crash happened at about 2:20 p.m. and briefly closed the interstate near Manifold Road, according to a social media post by the South Strabane Fire Department.
Five people were taken to UPMC Washington and one was taken to a trauma center in Pittsburgh, according to the post.
The condition of the victims was not made available.

North Park pool reopens
Allegheny County made a splash on Friday with the reopening of the North Park pool.
The facility had been closed for maintenance.
The county parks department announced the reopening on Facebook, saying crews worked around the clock to make repairs and ensure water quality was safe.
Work needed to be done on the chlorine injectors, according to the post.
The pool is open 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily.
