State police investigate coupon fraud in Hempfield
According to the Facebook page of the Westmoreland County Pennsylvania District Attorney’s office, Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a retail theft in which the actors used a digital coupon to obtain free packs of Newport cigarettes at a 7-11 in Hempfield.
State police suspect the coupon was fraudulent.
The actors left the scene in a red Ford Edge with unknown registration.
The store manager told troopers the suspects attempted this same scheme at multiple 7-11 stores locally but were unsuccessful.

Pennsylvania Game Commission announces elk season harvest numbers
The Pennsylvania Game Commission has released its harvest numbers for this past elk season.
Overall antlered harvest came in at a 92% harvest success rate. Antlerless harvest was a 64% harvest success rate, and the overall harvest reached a 74% harvest success rate. These percentages encompass the archery, regular and late seasons.
The state has new big game record holders in both the non-typical elk archery and typical elk firearm categories.
