Multiple vehicles including a semi truck were involved in a crash Wednesday night in Connellsville, according to emergency officials.

The crash happened shortly before 9 p.m. near the Sheetz gas station at the intersection of West Crawford Avenue and South Eighth Street in Connellsville. Multiple people were transported to area hospitals, Fayette County 911 officials said.

Roads near the crash were blocked, according to Fayette County EMS, who advised drivers to avoid the area. EMS photos from the scene show the truck crashed near St. John the Evangelist Church, and at least one vehicle crashed into a fuel station at Sheetz.

Additional information was not immediately available.
