Municipalities and local organizations around the region have stepped up as shelters, offering residents a place to charge their devices and get assistance in the wake of Tuesday’s severe storms, which left thousands without power.

People can find electricity at:

Plum Borough Municipal Building is operating on a generator and is open for residents to charge devices, with limited outlets. The building is located at 2000 Mike Thomas Way, Plum.

South Butler Community Library has full power and is open to residents to charge devices. The library is located at 240 W Main St, Saxonburg.

Verona Municipal Building is open for residents to charge devices with outlets in the council chambers. The building is located at 736 E Railroad Ave.

Forest Hills Borough Building is open for residents to charge devices at 4400 Greensburg Pike.

Sharpsburg Borough Building is open for residents to charge devices and reconnect. The building is located at 1611 Main St.

Boiling Springs Presbyterian Church in Kiski is open for residents who need water or to charge devices. The church is located at 1668 PA-56, Spring Church.

South Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department in South Buffalo is open with ice, freezer space for food, outlets for devices as well as hotdogs and soda. The hall is located at 100 Fire Hall Road, Freeport.
