Love football but don’t want to deal with the NFL Draft hustle and bustle? Nemacolin Resort has the weekend for you — but it’ll put a linebacker-sized dent in your bank account.
The luxury resort’s Immaculate Reception Weekend will score you access to a slew of football-related events, live music, dinner parties and more. It will all take place from April 23-26, and packages range from $10,000 to $30,000.
The Fayette County resort was named Pennsylvania’s top hotel by U.S. News & World Report earlier this year. Located in the Laurel Highlands, the 2,200-acre luxury property is home to several accommodation options, fine dining, shopping, activities and many other amenities.
The busy Draft Weekend schedule includes a riverboat soiree along the Allegheny River with current and former football players; a storytelling evening with former Steelers Terry Bradshaw and Jerome Bettis; a golf outing and pickleball tournament with more NFL greats; a live concert by rapper Wiz Khalifa; and a variety of other premium experiences.
Each of the three packages — priced at $10,000, $20,000 and $30,000 — offers either a two- or three-night stay for two people. Those paying for the highest-level package will also receive access to the 84 Lumber exclusive hospitality space at Southern Tier Pittsburgh on the North Shore so that they can join in on the festivities of the NFL Draft.
But the resort has taken the Immaculate Reception theme a step further, partnering with Pittsburgh Brewing Co. to create a special pilsner, The Divinity Draft, which will be available in 16-ounce cans at the resort. According to the news release, the beer was made using DNA taken from the Immaculate Reception football, which was gifted to Nemacolin founder Joseph A. Hardy III on his 100th birthday and remains on display at the resort.
“This is an extraordinary moment for Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania,” said Maggie Hardy, owner and CEO of Nemacolin, in a release. “Football is woven into the very fabric of this region, and the Immaculate Reception Weekend is our tribute to that enduring legacy. It is a celebration of the game’s history and its heroes, thoughtfully designed to bring people together through powerful storytelling, meaningful connection, and the elevated hospitality for which we are known.”
A request for additional information on the Divinity Draft to Nemacolin through marketing agency Curich Weiss Amplify has not been returned.
Nemacolin announced layoffs at the beginning of this year.
