The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will again grant an extension for the expiration of driver’s licenses, identification cards and learner’s permits because of the continuing covid-19 restrictions.
Driver’s licenses, photo ID cards and learner’s permits set to expire on March 16 or after have been extended until June 30.
Gov. Tom Wolf announced covid-19 restrictions on March 16.
Residents have options to renew their license or photo ID cards or learner’s permit:
• A camera card is considered a driver’s license, so it is covered by the same terms and conditions extending to other driver’s license products. Camera cards with expiration dates within this time frame are also extended through June 30, 2020.
• Limited services are available at some Driver’s License and Photo License Centers. Visit www.dmv.pa.gov for more details.
• PennDOT online offers driver’s license, photo ID, vehicle registration renewals and other services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
