Area businesses and organizations are making their own proposals after pop superstar Taylor Swift announced her engagement on social media Tuesday.
The Pennsylvania native posted about her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in a joint Instagram post with the caption, “your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
It wasn’t long before Pittsburgh groups and companies began offering their services for the wedding.
Oakmont Bakery took to social media Tuesday, offering to bake Swift a wedding cake that will “never go out of style.”
“First comes love, then comes cake,” the post read.
On Wednesday afternoon, the bakery announced special “Love Story” cookies featuring photos from Swift and Kelce’s engagement.
Without missing a beat, the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy Facebook page invited Swift and Kelce to host their wedding in one of the 22 parks the group helps to oversee.
The Pittsburgh Film Office floated the idea of Pittsburgh being the backdrop for the couple to film their biopic. The post was accompanied by images of past films set in Pittsburgh with the couple added to the background.
