State police are investigating a possible murder-suicide Tuesday in Butler County.

State Trooper Bertha Cazy said Northern Regional Police Department responded to a Seven Fields home at 1:15 a.m. after receiving a phone call from the parents of Ryan Hosso, 26.

Authorities found Madeline Spatafore, 25, dead inside the home on Graywyk Drive from multiple gunshot wounds, Cazy said. Hosso’s parents told investigators Hosso had reported killing his wife and was threatening suicide.

He was found dead from a gunshot wound in the woods behind their home in Cranberry Township, police said. Troopers are handling the investigation.
