The woman told police she was cleaning her camp trailer Thursday morning with her brother when Oleary showed up and threatened her with a handgun, according to a criminal complaint. Oleary isn’t allowed to have contact with the woman because she has an active Protection from Abuse Order against him, police said.
Oleary told the woman he was going to kill her, her brother, and himself, she told police. She was held by Oleary against her will for more than four hours, police said.
The woman told her brother about the gun, and he was able to flag down security after he told Oleary he needed to use the bathroom, police said. He went the area around a swimming pool and notified security of the situation, police said.
As Oleary and the woman drove toward the swimming pool area, Oleary saw security and stopped his vehicle, the complaint said. The woman opened the passenger door, and ran. Oleary sped away in an unknown direction.
A woman who answered the phone at the campground said security is working with police in the investigation.
Oleary is wanted on charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault, criminal trespass, terroristic threats, and other charges related to the incident.
