Uniontown police have a person in custody following two apparently related shooting incidents in Uniontown early Sunday morning, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV.

Charges of attempted criminal homicide are pending.

Police responded to a call of shots being fired at 14 Pershing Court shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday. Police told WPXI that four people were shot at a party and that at least one person was in critical condition at the hospital.

Another shooting incident nearby on Dunlap Street appeared to be related, police said.

Lt. Tom Kolencik told WPXI that a man and a woman were shot at each location, and one man was taken to a hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., for surgery. The other injuries were believed to be non-life threatening.

It remains unclear what precipitated the shooting incidents.

Uniontown police were not releasing any additional information.
