The storm that swept through Southwestern Pennsylvania Saturday night has left about 300 FirstEnergy customers without power and about 120 Duquesne Light customers still without electrical service as of Sunday morning.

FirstEnergy reported that it expects to restore power at various times from Sunday morning through the afternoon in communities in Westmoreland, Fayette, Greene, Washington, Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver and Butler counties.

Duquesne Light said customers in Hampton, Harmony, New Brighton, Penn Hills, Pine and Richland are being effected.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely to hit the region around 3 p.m. Sunday, bringing between a quarter- and half-inch of rain, according to the National Weather Service in Moon. Temperatures are expected to rise to 78 degrees this afternoon. The showers and thunderstorms are likely to continue tonight until about 10 p.m.

Memorial Day is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 77 degrees, making it ideal weather the Memorial Day observances and parades around Western Pennsylvania.
