Shady Ave Magazine, the highly regarded Pittsburgh-based lifestyle publication, has been acquired by Table Media Inc., officials announced Wednesday.

Table Media is buying the publication from Trib Total Media, which has produced the magazine since May 2022.

The transition to new ownership is expected to be completed by Dec. 1, with the first issue under Table Media’s leadership set to debut in Spring 2026, according to Table officials.

Table Media announced it hired Sean Collier to serve as the publication’s editor-in-chief. Collier, a longtime Pittsburgh-based journalist, was previously managing editor of Pittsburgh Magazine.

“We’re excited and honored to be able to write the next chapter of Shady Ave’s legacy,” said Justin Matase, publisher of TABLE Magazine and co-owner of Table Media. “We will focus on the influential people that make life in the East End so vibrant — and on the neighborhoods, events and stories that bring this part of Pittsburgh to life.”

Jennifer Bertetto, president and CEO of Trib Total Media, praised the move, calling Table Media “the premier lifestyle publisher in Pittsburgh” and expressing confidence in the magazine’s continued success.

Shady Ave will publish five print editions per year and expand its digital presence with daily updates and social media coverage. A new website, shadyave.com, will launch early 2026, along with a community relaunch event, according to Table Media officials.
