Workers sought for Steelers training camp at St. Vincent College
The Pittsburgh Steelers are not only looking for great football players who can help them win, but for “responsible, mature, motivated workers with excellent people skills and verbal communication skills” to work at the team’s training camp this summer at Saint Vincent College near Latrobe.
Those who want to work at the training camp, which is expected to run from mid-July through mid-August, can apply for a variety of positions during a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday on the first floor of the Fred Rogers Center on the college campus off Route 30 in Unity. Workers will be paid $11 an hour.
The start times and end dates for the part-time positions may vary and will be discussed during the interview, the college said in a news release. Applicants will need to show their driver’s license and Social Security card at the interview.
State regulations require that all employees be at least 18. Those who are hired will be expected to continue to work outdoors, even in high heat or rain. They will be required to wear a uniform that includes a Steelers training camp T-shirt that will be provided by the team, khaki or black pants, capris or shorts and flat closed-toe shoes.
Potential employees will undergo a background check.
