State Police in Somerset are asking the public’s help locating a 33-year-old man accused of assaulting a woman in rural Shade Township Wednesday.

Trooper Clifford Greenfield said police are looking for Justin Wade Hartman of Central City, who is wanted on multiple criminal charges including aggravated assault. Greenfield said Hartman is believed to be on foot in the vicinity of Route 30 in Shade Township and is believed to be possessing a .22 caliber rifle.

On Friday morning, Greenfield said witnesses said Hartman was reported to be at a residence on Route 30. He said troopers initiated a search of the area which prompted the closing of the Route 30 section.

Greenfield said Hartman could not be located and the road has since reopened.

Hartman is described as five feet seven inches tall, 145 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information can contact the Somerset station at 814-445-4104 or call 911.
