A 19-year-old man was shot by police early Sunday morning after he refused their commands to drop the gun he was holding.
Logan B. Macri, 19, of Canonsburg was shot multiple times following an alleged domestic assault at a home in North Strabane, according to state police.
Police from North Stabane and Cannonsburg responded to the 400 block of West McMurray Road in North Strabane around 2:25 a.m.
According to a state police release, “Macri refused to comply with officers’ commands and the officers were force to fire their service weapons.”
Macri was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital by helicopter.
West McMurray Road was closed until late Sunday morning.
Macri won a state wrestling championship in 2018 while at Canon-McMillan High School.
