Storm forces evacuation of Jason Aldean concert at Star Lake
Fans of musician Jason Aldean were evacuated before his concert at The Pavilion At Star Lake near Burgettstown early Friday evening because of severe thunderstorms in the area, according to Star Lake’s Twitter account.
Just after 7 p.m., fans were instructed to “calmly proceed to the nearest exit and seek shelter” in their vehicles or under a covered roof.
At 8 p.m., officials with Star Lake told fans it was OK to head back to the gates and re-enter for the concert.
Y108-FM said Aldean was scheduled to begin his portion of the concert at 10:30 p.m.
