'The Pavilion at Star Lake' concert venue in Burgettstown goes back in time
The name has been changed several times, but some people have always called it by its first name.
And now they can again.
Tribune-Review News Partner WPXI-TV reported that the concert space in Burgettstown is returning to its roots.
The venue’s Facebook page said it is now being called “The Pavilion at Star Lake.” It opened as the Star Lake Amphitheater in 1990. Billy Joel was the first concert.
Past naming rights have claimed it as KeyBank, S&T Bank Music Park and others.
According to a statement from S&T Bank it’s decision to withdraw from its arrangement with The Pavilion at Star Lake was difficult but was done “in order to focus our partnership efforts on other areas during this time.”
The Pavilion at Star Lake owner said in a statement the new name is “The Pavilion at Star Lake.”
“ We have certainly enjoyed our collaboration with S&T Bank and understand its position,” the statement said. “We’re looking forward to bringing live music back as soon as possible and anticipate equally exciting collaborations with other partners in 2021 and beyond.”
