A number of people took advantage of a perfect day Thursday as summer approaches to pick their own flowers and fruits at Simmons Farm in Peters Township.

The family-owned, 150-acre farm has been in operation for 75 years. It offers pick-your-own flowers, sweet corn, strawberries, apples, peaches and pumpkins.
