Power slowly restored after severe storms strike Western Pa.
Power is being restored for several thousand households affected by Wednesday night’s severe storms that rolled through the Western Pennsylvania.
Duquesne Light said it has no outages to report as of 5:20 a.m. Thursday. Late Wednesday night, Duquesne Light reported about 2,500 customers were without power, with Ross and O’Hara hit the hardest, 1,500 were without power in Ross and about 250 in O’Hara.
As of 5 a.m. Thursday, about 1,600 West Penn Power customers were still without power.
In Fayette County, outages have gone from 1,600 down to less than 50.
The forecast is calling for scattered showers and cooler temperatures today.
