The Radio Television Digital News Association on Wednesday night recognized Trib Total Media with a national 2021 Edward R. Murrow Award. The awards gala, held in New York City, honored news outlets from all over the country for outstanding achievement in digital and broadcast journalism. The Trib received an award in feature reporting for “A Daughter’s Promise,” which chronicled reporter JoAnne Klimovich Harrop’s quarantine with her 93-year-old mother in a Pittsburgh nursing home in the early days of the pandemic. Pictured above are Harrop, a Trib reporter for 24 years, and Sean Stipp, the Trib’s director of visuals.
