TribLive wins national award in best website category
TribLive has earned a top honor in the prestigious EPPY Awards, a national competition that recognizes the best in digital journalism.
TribLive placed second in the “Best Daily Newspaper Website” among news organizations with more than 1 million unique monthly visitors.
The EPPY Awards, now in their 26th year, drew more than 200 entrants from top news organizations nationwide. The awards are presented by Editor & Publisher Magazine, a leading publication in the news industry.
The award for Best Daily Newspaper Website went to The Boston Globe, highlighting TribLive’s strength in a competitive category. Other notable winners include ESPN.com, which claimed the award for Best Sports News Website, while CNN Sports secured second place in the category.
“We are incredibly proud of this recognition, especially in a field with so many outstanding entrants,” said Jennifer Bertetto, president and CEO of Trib Total Media. “We strive every day to provide our readers with the best possible digital experience — one that is fast, reliable and packed with valuable, local news. Our commitment to serving our readers remains our top priority.”
TribLive’s success at the EPPY Awards underscores the publication’s ongoing commitment to digital innovation, user experience and in-depth journalism, said Luis Fabregas, TribLive’s executive editor.
The site has garnered widespread recognition from state and national news organizations for its coverage of local news, sports, politics and community stories.
