State police are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects connected to a methamphetamine manufacturing dump site discovered in a rural eastern Indiana County.
Troopers called the agency’s Clandestine Laboratory Response Team to a wooded area in Buffington Township near Vintondale at 4 p.m. Sunday after finding suspicious materials, according to Trooper Clifford Greenfield.
Police said several plastic bags were discovered in the woods along Upper Laurel Road by troopers and then the CLRT found two one-pot vessels and three acid generators used in methamphetamine manufacturing.
Greenfield said troopers were not able to find any evidence linking a suspect to the materials.
State police are asking anyone with information to contact them or their local law enforcement agency. Anonymous tips can also be made to the state’s toll-free, 24-hour tip line at 1-877-PA-NODRUGS.
