State police in Uniontown are seeking information on a New Year’s Day fire that destroyed an out building in rural Fayette County, killing two horses.

Fire marshal Craig Soltis said the 5 a.m. fire destroyed a building on the 600 block of Buchanan Avenue, Springfield Township, owned by Arm Land Co. of Ingomar, Allegheny County. Soltis said the damage was so severe that a cause could not be determined.

Two horses owned by Randy Sipes, who rented the building, perished in the blaze.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-439-7111.
