A Uniontown man is charged with repeatedly assaulting a disabled woman for whom he was providing personal care.

Kenneth Duane Breakiron, 68, is charged with 80 counts each — 320 total — of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault of a person with a mental disability, harassment involving physical contact and harassment involving a course of conduct with no legitimate purpose.

State police allege Breakiron inappropriately touched the woman, who was more than 60 years old, while showering her weekly in her North Union Township home over the course of six and a half years, beginning in 2012.

According to court documents, Breakiron told investigators he massaged the woman to help stimulate her to have a bowel movement.

Police said the woman is diagnosed with an intellectual disability, cerebral palsy and other medical conditions that make her incapable of providing for her own basic needs including feeding, bathing and walking.

According to the criminal complaint, the woman’s conditions also rendered her incapable of consenting to Breakiron’s actions.

Breakiron was arraigned Friday before District Judge Nathan Henning in Uniontown. He was released on an unsecured $100,000 bond pending a preliminary hearing on Tuesday .
