Uniontown man sought in Fayette shooting

A Uniontown man is wanted for allegedly shooting another man several times outside a bar late Saturday night, state police at Uniontown said.

The suspect, David Dwayne Brooks, 26, is accused of shooting a 25-year-old Uniontown man outside Bar None at 231 Pittsburgh Rd., North Union Township, at about 11:30 p.m., police said. Both men were at the bar when an altercation broke out and the suspect ran after the victim, allegedly shooting him in the chest and extremities.

The victim was in stable condition Sunday morning , police said.

Uniontown District Judge Nathan A. Henning issued an arrest warrant for Brooks on charges of attempted criminal homicide, aggravated and simple assault and carrying a firearm without a license.

The state police criminal investigations unit is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact police at 724-439-7111.
