The Western Pennsylvania region should see a dramatic warm up Thursday, with high temperatures reaching into the mid-60s, but the warm weather will also likely bring rain showers and potentially damaging winds.
The National Weather Service said a wind advisory is in place starting 11 a.m. Thursday and running through 7 a.m. Friday.
Meteorologists expect wind gusts in excess of 35 mph, with some having the potential to eclipse 50. The Pittsburgh office of the weather service said people should secure any loose items they have outside, and should probably wait to put trash bins out until Friday morning.

In addition to the wind, isolated thunderstorms are expected across the Pittsburgh region. According to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI, the best chance for a thunderstorm is along and west of Interstate 79.
The NWS said the storms and wind could potentially lead to power outages.
The region’s high temperature Thursday is expected to be 65 degrees by the afternoon, as a warm front from the south moves over Pittsburgh.
