Washington County man dies in apparent ATV crash
A 50-year-old Eighty Four man was discovered dead Thursday, pinned under his all-terrain vehicle on his Washington County farm, according to the county Coroner S. Timothy Warco.
Warco’s office reported that Scott Manko had left his home off Route 519 on the ATV about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, but did not return which prompted a search late Wednesday. He was found deceased, pinned beneath the ATV about 3:30 a.m. Thursday during a search of the property.
The coroner’s office said a ruling on cause and manner of death are pending.
State police in Washington are assisting the coroner’s office in the investigation. Authorities were assisted at the scene by the Cokeburg, Lone Pine, Marianna and Richeyville volunteer fire departments, and the county’s department of public safety.
