Halloween is for everyone as one recent event showcased.

Chrildren at the Vincentian Child Discovery Center in McCandless kicked off their Halloween celebrations early with a Reverse Trick-or-Treat party Oct. 24.

Instead of collecting candy themselves, the preschoolers handed out treats such as lottery tickets and decks of cards to visiting older adults from nearby Vincentian Terrace Place.

Adding to the fun, some of the seniors even showed up in costume. Among those making the rounds were a smiling bride, a spooky witch, more than one cat and an Oktoberfest aficionado decked out in lederhosen.

The event was an opportunity for Vincentian to showcase its intergenerational philosophy of bringing people together of all ages for meaningful connections.
