The Upper St. Clair-Bethel Park Rotary Breakfast Club Farmer’s Market is open for the season.

Visit every Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. through Sept. 28 for local treats, dinner options, fresh produce and flowers, handmade bread, hot kettle corn, sweet treats and musical entertainment. The market is located in the parking lot across Devonwood Drive from Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2040 Washington Road, Upper St. Clair.

The Rotary club comprises residents from Bethel Park and Upper St. Clair, serving both communities through fundraisers and volunteer work. During the club’s annual Night of Giving, held on April 20 at Valley Brook Country Club in Peters, over $52,000 in grant money was donated to 20 local organizations and two international charities.

Event co-chairman Bill Findle described the night as the culmination of a year’s hard work, starting with the Chicken Barbecue fundraiser held in the fall. Co-chair and BBQ sponsor Scott Churchill highlighted the impact of the donations, such as life-saving security devices from Watchful Shepherd for victims of domestic violence and solar lanterns for the homeless from Light in My City.

Further support is provided to the Bethel Park Police Traffic Division, Bethel Park Public Library, and Bethel-St. Clair Meals On Wheels. For a complete list of 2023 grant recipients, visit rb.gy/7fyvi.

The 34th annual Chicken Barbecue is scheduled for Oct. 28. For $15 per dinner, enjoy a grilled half chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, and dessert. Dinners will be served from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Bethel Park High School, with drive-thru service only. Advance purchase is required by calling 412-606-0518 or visiting rb.gy/eeknh.
