Section of Valencia Road in Richland closing to all traffic for 2 weeks
A 1.2 mile stretch of Valencia Road in Richland will be closed to all traffic for two weeks starting on Tuesday.
The road will be closed around-the-clock in both directions between Chessrown and Dambach avenues for the repair work, according to the transportation agency.
The project involves slide repairs between Gleason Landscaping and the Pine-Richland Self Storage companies. The work is being done by crews from Golden Triangle Construction based in Imperial.
The road is scheduled to be shut down at 7 a.m. Jan. 5 and will remain closed through Jan. 19.
The length of the road closure could be extended depending on weather conditions and the progress made on the project.
Motorists will follow a posted detour that uses Babcock Boulevard and Bakerstown Road.
