Child Health Association of Sewickley gears up for Centennial Year celebration
The Child Health Association of Sewickley wrapped up 2022 with the Around the World fundraising event at The Edgeworth Club on Nov. 19. This event was a soft kickoff for the organization’s Centennial year, which kicks off in February.
Child Health Association of Sewickley was founded in 1923 by four visionary women who wanted to provide milk to undernourished children. In the past 100 years, the organization’s mission has grown to nurture the whole child by supporting programs and services that directly address children’s emotional, physical, education, cultural and recreational needs. Since 1923, Child Health and nearly 1,400 volunteers have raised more than $4.9 million to give to organizations that directly support children in Western Pennsylvania.
Around the World was an upscale cocktail party with food and drink inspired by cuisines from Asia, North America, Western Europe, and Australia. The event raised $37,000 and hosted more than 120 people.
As part of their Centennial Year in 2023, Child Health will be hosting two key fundraisers, Share the Love on Feb. 11 at Allegheny Country Club, and the highly-anticipated Ball and Skit in November. More information about tickets and the events can be found online at childhealthassociation.org.
