Fellowship: Upcoming Lent, Easter events at Sewickley area churches
Antioch Baptist Church
Sunday service is at 10:45 a.m.
On March 19, Family and Friends Day will celebrate Antioch’s ushers and missionaries. The service begins at 10:45 a.m. Pastor Verton L. Dean Sr. will bring forth the message. The theme this year is “We’re Going to Serve Him!” taken from Joshua 24:15. Hors d’oeuvres will be served after service. All are welcome.

Christ Church at Grove Farm
The church will host an Easter Eggstravaganza at 9 and 11 a.m. March 25. An interactive show will be followed by an egg hung with a twist. The event is free but space is limited. Registration is required at ccgf.org/kids/egg.

Divine Redeemer Parish
The Divine Redeemer 55 Plus Club meets the third Thursday of every month, September through May 2023.We start with the Rosery at 10 a.m., followed by lunch and entertainment, ending at 1 p.m.Cost of lunch will be $12 for members and $13 per guest. North Way Sewickley Valley
North Way Sewickley Valley is a family friendly Christian community offering services at 9:15 and 11 a.m. each Sunday. Kids Church is available at both services for children from birth to fifth grade. Autism Ministry support is also available for children from preschool to eighth grade with pre-registration.

St. Brendan’s Episcopal Church
The church holds in-person Sunday worship with Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.; the latter is also live-streamed. Sunday School is conducted and the nursery is open during the 10 a.m. service. A special Children’s Service is held at 10 a.m. on the last Sunday of each month.
The parish is holding potluck dinners on Wednesdays at 6 p.m., which will be followed by Compline and Eucharist at 7 p.m.
St. Brendan’s Youth Group will meet for food, fun and fellowship from 7-8:30 p.m. March 27.
The Annual Spring Cleanup is set for 9 a.m.-noon April 1, when parishioners will weed, rake leaves, spread mulch, trim trees and perform light indoor tasks.
The church is accepting applications for two paid, part-time positions: nursery coordinator, and children and youth ministry coordinator. Detailed information can be found at www.stbrendans.org/employment.
The Justice Ministry is collecting new or gently used gloves, mittens, hats and scarves to be distributed by the Neighborhood Resilience Project of Pittsburgh.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church
Soup dinners will be held Wednesdays in Lent, featuring a variety of homemade soups to take out or eat in. Hours are 4:30-6:30 p.m. On March 29, we will also serve homemade haluski in addition to soup. Each item is $6.
Sunday worship is at 10 a.m.; Sunday school at 9 a.m. Weekly Bible study is at 10 a.m. Tuesdays at the Edgeworth Eat’n Park.
The Kids’ Community Closet at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is now open. The “free-cycle” space serves children ages infant to youth by providing gently used clothing, coats/jackets, and shoes to the community at no cost.
Hours are 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday, and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
There are no applications, income guidelines, or donations required to “shop” at the Kids’ Closet. The church takes donations of gently used clothing and shoes. At this time, toys, baby gear, bedding/blankets and athletic equipment cannot be accepted.

St. Stephen’s Anglican Church
All children ages birth through fifth grade grade are invited to St. Stephen’s annual free Community Egg Hunt. Come to the church lawn on April 1 at 10 a.m. Please bring your own basket.
Wednesday nights in March, the church will host a Lent Speaker & Dinner Series: The Tears of Jesus – Grieving in the Grace of God. With the expertise of licensed counselors and care professionals, we want to engage the ever-present reality of grief and be led deeper into the compassion of God for ourselves and for those around us.
