The Borough of Leetsdale’s 4th of July Celebration has been a tradition since 1943 and has been enjoyed by the communities within and outside of Quaker Valley.

The committee is looking ahead to the nation’s 250th birthday celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2026. It invites all to join in planning and raising funds for the historic 82nd annual parade and Zambelli reworks extravaganza. It will be an exciting year with fundraisers already in the works.

The committee will hold its First Annual Pancake Breakfast from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 11. in the Community Room of the Leetsdale Borough Building. More information will follow.

To volunteer, join the committee at 7 p.m. Aug. 12 in the Community Room or contact Scott Zahner at 412-720-0298 or szahner1@yahoo.com.

Joining the day’s events are a judged bike show, parts and accessories vendors, food trucks, technical displays and for the first time, representatives from Mecum Auctions will be on hand offering free valuations of old motorcycles found in local basements and garages.

Like a two-wheeled “Antiques Roadshow,” riders and former riders can show up with their vintage and custom bikes to learn what they might be worth at an upcoming Mecum Motorcycle Auction.
