Bible study
Divine Redeemer Parish is offering an 11-week video-based Bible study presented by Jeff Cavins on the Book of Revelation. Virtual sessions via Zoom will be offered Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m., beginning Sept. 27. Call 724-350-5359 to register.
An eight-week video-based Bible study will be presented by Cavins on Galatians. Virtual sessions via Zoom will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning Sept. 30. Call 412-480-7114 to register.
Borough vacancies
Sewickley is looking to fill the upcoming vacancy of the mayor’s office.
At the August meeting, council accepted Mayor Brian Jeffe’s resignation effective Dec. 31. Council needs to appoint someone to the vacancy. That person will serve until the first Monday in January after the next municipal election.
There is also a vacancy on the planning commission. The person appointed to that position will fill the unexpired term of Ed Green (who was appointed to council) which will continue through Dec. 31, 2022.
Anyone wishing to apply for either vacancy is asked to complete an application.
