Camp Meeting Road open

Camp Meeting Road between Beech Ridge Drive and Fern Hollow Road in Bell Acres has reopened to traffic. That section of the road had been closed since July 12, 2019, after storms caused part of a culvert and the roadway to collapse. Work to replace the culvert and repair the roadway began on July 26.

National Drive Electric Week

Join Drive Electric PA, Sustainable Sewickley and Pittsburgh Region Green Cities in celebrating National Drive Electric Week. An event will take place from noon-5 p.m. Sept. 25 in the Sewickley YMCA Upper Lot. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. There will be electric vehicles, information on charging, demonstrations, food trucks and more. For more information, visit driveelectricweek.org.

Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection

The Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection, a referral group of business professionals, will meet Sept. 29 at the Eat N’ Park on Route 60 in Robinson Township for breakfast from 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Speakers will be Jason Henze of Overhead Door Company of Pittsburgh and Bill Baierl of Palmetto Solar Company. Glass recycling

Pennsylvania Resources Council’s Traveling Glass Recycling Bin Program, which provides a free recycling service that rotates through a variety of locations in the region, will be at Sewickley Riverfront Park from Sept. 25-30. Individuals can drop off glass bottles, jars and jugs of all colors (no color sorting required). Containers should be empty and rinsed, with lids and labels still on. Bags and boxes used to deliver glass must be discarded off-site. For more information, visit prc.org/glassrecycling.
