Fern Hollow Nature Center
Little Explorers Spring Sessions will begin April 12. The eight-week-long drop-off programs are geared for children 3 to 5 years old and will take place from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Explorers will take hikes in the meadows, play in the outdoor classrooms, make nature-themed crafts, and enjoy time with friends exploring, learning and discovering. Although some time is spent indoors, the programs are geared to have children outside enjoying nature as much as possible.
Sessions will be offered at Fern Hollow Nature Center on Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning April 12 and at Ohio Township Community Park on Fridays beginning April 7 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Junior Explorers is a unique blend of hikes, nature lessons and play that also fosters early learning skills using the natural world, but with content geared towards older preschool and kindergarten-aged children. The eight-week-long drop-off program begins April 13, is for children 4 to 6 years old and will take place from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on Thursdays at Fern Hollow Nature Center.

Mark Rengers Gallery
Mark Rengers Gallery, formerly the Sewickley Gallery & Frame Shop, presents “In Ruin,” March 31-May 13. Artists Rick Lewis and Seth Clark address the haunting power of nature in their work, layering materials and mediums to create abstracted impressions of the world we are so familiar with. Senior Men’s Club
An affiliate of the Sewickley Valley YMCA, the Senior Men’s Club will host Will Knecht, who will discuss Wendell August Forge on March 31. Library activities set
Family Activity Night, a family program full of games and activities, is planned for 6-7:30 p.m. April 4 at the library, 500 Thorn St. The program is geared toward children in grades 1-5 with their parents/caregivers. No registration is required.
