Spectators can watch as team members work against the clock in preparing the fleece by carding and spinning the fiber into yarn. Looms will be set up, and each team will weave the yarn into beautiful shawls of each team’s design. Teams will display their own themes and their attire and colors will follow their chosen themes.
Spectators will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite shawl and team and bid on their favorite shawls during an auction at the end of the demonstration and throughout the following week.
The shawls will be displayed at the Wunder Bar of Harmony from June 8-13. Partial proceeds benefit Historic Harmony.
