Pennsylvania Resources Council’s traveling glass recycling bin will be at Sewickley Riverfront Park, 300 Chadwick St., Nov. 21-28. All colors of glass bottles, jars and jugs will be accepted. The following items will not be accepted: cut glass, glass bakeware, mirrors, porcelain and ceramics, stemware, light bulbs, televisions and window glass. Fall for the Arts online auction

Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection

Turkey Trot registration open

Sewickley Valley YMCA’s Virtual Turkey Trot registration is open. Challenge yourself to a walk or run a 5K before Nov. 30, wherever and whenever you want — and sleep in on Thanksgiving morning.

The Turkey Trot is a joint project of the Heritage Valley Health System Foundation and the Sewickley Valley YMCA. Proceeds benefit the Faith in Action program at the Sewickley Valley YMCA, which is designed to meet the transportation needs of the elderly in the community by providing rides to medical treatments and doctor appointments. Luminaria sale

Boy Scouts from Sewickley Troop 243 are selling luminaria kits for the holiday season. Each kit contains 10 5-inch candles, 10 white paper bags and a bag of sand. The price is $12/kit, by check or PayPal. Orders will be taken through Dec. 7, with delivery to your home on Dec. 12.
