In brief: Magisterial court hours change, upcoming meetings and more in Sewickley area

Court hours change

Effective Jan. 10, office hours at Magisterial District Court 05-3-02 (Judge Giuseppe GC Rosselli, 190 Ohio River Blvd., Leetsdale) are now 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the exception of the last Monday of each month, when hours are 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. . The new change is for the citizens in the surrounding areas to be able to come into our office for any issues past 4:30 p.m., this change is also for any working citizens or students to be able to still come to our court and not have to take time off work or school,” said secretary Jamie Mengine.

Soup supper

Leetsdale’s 4th of July Committee will host a soup supper event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 2 at the borough’s community room, 373 Beaver St. The menu includes broccoli and cheese, chicken noodle, chili and wedding soup. Cost is $6 per pint. Call 412-720-0298 for more information.

Meetings planned

Sewickley Historic Review Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 5 at the borough building, 601 Thorn St.

Bell Acres council will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 12 at the fire hall at 1850 Big Sewickley Creek Road.

Sewickley council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at the borough building, 601 Thorn St.

Sewickley Hills council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at the borough building, 349 Magee Road.

Sewickley Heights council will meet at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at the borough hall, 238 Country Club Road.

Aleppo commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 at the municipal building, 100 North Drive.

Glen Osborne council will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at Osborne Elementary School, 1414 Beaver St.

Edgeworth council will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at the borough building, 301 Beaver Road.

Business Connection

Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection, a referral group of business professionals, will meet at the Eat N’ Park on Route 60 in Robinson Township for breakfast from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m. Feb. 7. Speakers will be Matt Yost of Yost Kitchen & Bath and Bill Paviol of Smart Wired Security System.
