Owen Galluzzo Memorial Picnic

The Ninth Annual Owen Galluzzo Memorial Picnic and Wiffleball Classic is set for Sept. 1 at War Memorial Park in Sewickley beginning at 12:15 p.m. The Owen Galluzzo Memorial Fund was established in 2010 after the passing of 9-year-old Owen Galluzzo following open heart surgery. The fund is housed through the Pittsburgh Foundation and supports non-profit organizations that enrich the lives of medically fragile children. The Quaker Valley High School marching band will play the National Anthem to kick off the tournament. In addition to the tournament, a basket auction with more than 80 baskets, bounce houses, free ice cream, hot dogs, popcorn, and smiley cookies, face painting, bead stringing, and a stuffed-animal adoption will be available. All of the baskets are donated by local businesses and family and friends. Register via the Remembering Owen: The Owen Galluzzo Memorial Fund Facebook page.
