Sewickley is looking to fill the upcoming vacancy of the mayor’s office.
At the August meeting, council accepted Mayor Brian Jeffe’s resignation effective Dec. 31. Council needs to appoint someone to the vacancy; that person will serve until the first Monday in January after the next municipal election.
There is also a vacancy on the planning commission. The person appointed to that position will fill the unexpired term of Ed Green (who has been appointed to council) which will continue through Dec. 31, 2022.
Anyone wishing to apply for either vacancy is asked to complete an application. The application should be submitted to Borough Manager Marla Marcinko, by mail at 601 Thorn St., Sewickley, PA 15143, by fax to 412-741-2421, or by email to mmarcinko@sewickley borough.org Both applications can be found online at sewickleyborough.org.
