While I live in Glen Osborne, pay substantial tax to support Quaker Valley Schools and have no children who attend schools in the Quaker Valley System, I nonetheless have an opinion about the current dilemma in search of a site for Quaker Valley High School. My understanding is that the community owns a site, i.e. 625 Beaver St., conveniently located for students who live in the 11 municipalities in the school district. I agree that the existing building for the high school needs to be replaced. The building can and should be replaced at its current site, and with proper educational leadership and vision can be accomplished. The present QV School Board fails to have the vision and educational leadership to accomplish this community-wide goal. We need to educate our children for their future world, not find a remote site. A new build at the current site of the Quaker Valley High School is the obvious choice for the future.
