Margaret Childs celebrates 100th birthday

Tom and Julie Childs of Andover, Mass.; Nieva Tomales, Childs’ caregiver for 20 years; Christine Childs Palmer of Kentfield, Calif.; Isabel Childs of Seattle; Margot Childs Cheel of Cohasset, Mass.; Bill Palmer of Kentfield, Calif.; Debbie Campbell of Seattle; and Benito all celebrated the 100th birthday of Sewickley resident Peggy Childs on May 30, 2021.

On May 30, 2021, Margaret (Peggy) Childs celebrated her 100th birthday. Childs has lived in her Sewickley home for 75 years, where each of her children grew up and where each returned for the milestone event.

Childs’ husband, Clinton L. Childs Jr. (1915-2000) served on the Sewickley Borough Council for 35 years, with numerous years as council president. Childs has seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
