Quaker Valley School District officials are preparing to send the class of 2025 off to its next chapter.

Graduation is planned for 7 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Chuck Knox Stadium, behind the high school.

There are 135 graduates this year.

The class includes poet laureate Jack Miller and honored student speakers Lily Sinclair, Ryan Steinfurth and Joyce “Jay” Olawaiye.

The total number of distinguished graduates has yet to be announced as grades are still being evaluated. Those graduates earn a cumulative average of 4.0 or better and are identified at commencement with a gold honor cord.

They also receive a notation of their accomplishment on their diplomas.

All graduation speakers are selected through a process designed by the high school faculty and principal.

Students in the high school’s National Honor Society, Parkway West Career and Technology Center National Technical Society, Global Scholars and U.S. Armed Forces members will be recognized at commencement.

Seniors’ last official day is May 23.

What families need to know

Tickets are not required and seating is first-come, first-served.

The stadium will open at 5:45 p.m. and all guests must be seated by 6:45 p.m.

Parking at the stadium is limited. Each senior will receive one parking pass along with their caps and gowns. Students with two mailing addresses will receive two parking passes.

Students, including graduating seniors and members of the QVHS band and choir, may not drive and park at QVHS on the evening of the ceremony.

They must be dropped off at the school or arrive with their families.

Families must show their parking pass to district staff on the day of graduation to obtain entrance into the school parking lot.

Staffers will help with parking, including those in need of handicapped spaces.

The district will provide all other guests a shuttle from Edgeworth Elementary School.

For the safety of graduates processing from the school and down the driveway to the stadium, the parking lot will close to all guests at 6:45 p.m.

Rain dates are June 3 and June 4 at 7 p.m.

The district’s administration will notify seniors and families of any ceremony cancellations and rescheduled dates using the phone alert system, text messaging via ParentSquare, and posting on the QVSD website.

More information about graduation is available on the district’s website, qvsd.org.
