Several Sewickley area primary races uncontested

Several communities in the Sewickley area have uncontested races in the primary election, according to the Allegheny County Office of Elections unofficial candidate list.

Aleppo

In Aleppo, Democrat Judith Haluka is running unopposed for commissioner. On the Republican side, three spots are open on the ballot and just two candidates are listed — Daniel Darragh and George Jones.

Bell Acres

Here, three Democrats are running for four spots on the ballot for council: Janelle Hanneman Aslam, Julie Klug DiCenzo and Finn Johnson.

Four Republicans will also see their names on the November ballot for council: Charles Kulbacki, Brock A. Meanor, David Renfrew and Michelle Veeck.

David Depretis, a Democrat, is the only person running for mayor from either political party.

Edgeworth

Four Republicans will have their names on the November ballot for council: Ivan T. Hofmann, Joseph T. Hoepp, Katherine Larsen and Daniel S. Wilson.

No Democrats are listed as running for council in Edgeworth.

Republican Gary L. Smith is the only person running for mayor from either political party.

Glen Osborne

Democrats John Orndorff and Mary Scalercio are running for four spots on the November ballot for council.

No Republicans are running for council in Glen Osborne.

Sewickley Heights

Four Republicans will see their names on the November ballot for council: Phil Hundley, Craig Kinney, Tom Pangburn and Carey Sirianni.

No Democrats are listed as running for council in Sewickley Heights.

Republican John Oliver is the only person running for mayor from either political party.
